Ethan Green's Nightmare was a big step in my early career, and an incredibly important lesson in filmmaking. This was the first project in a while that wasn't connected to my university or any course or assignment that would result in a grade. Instead, this project was a test to see how far I could really get without any assistance from the university, and simply using the lessons I had learned during my time in education. What resulted was a very challenging, but very rewarding and informative experience for everyone involved. Initially, I wrote the script not intending to make it into a film, but once I was happy with the script, I gave myself the challenge of seeing how far I could take it into production. I gathered a small, but talented, crew of creatives I'd met from university and elsewhere, only used equipment we owned, and we made the film. Another important experience that came with making this film, was after production had finished, securing screening. This was completely new to me, unlike filmmaking, as my previous projects were screened at university. As part of a film festival, Ethan Green's Nightmare was screened at Warner Bros, Burbank, California, on July 23rd, along side many other short films from around the world.
